How to identify your AirPods model
AirPods from different generations can look very similar, but replacement earbuds and charging cases are not always interchangeable. Checking the model number before ordering is the safest way to choose the correct generation, side and case.
Where to find your AirPods model number
AirPods model numbers begin with the letter A followed by four digits, such as A2031.
- On iPhone or iPad: Open Settings, choose Bluetooth, then tap the information button beside your AirPods.
- On the AirPod: Check the small printed text on the underside of the earbud.
- On the charging case: Open the lid and check the model information printed inside or around the case.
Two AirPods can look almost identical while belonging to different generations. Use the printed A-number as your final compatibility check.

Make sure you choose the correct side
Left and right earbuds have different model numbers. Check which side you need, then match the exact A-number shown on the ReSet product option.
AirPods 4: standard or Active Noise Cancellation?
AirPods 4 is available in standard and Active Noise Cancellation versions. They use different earbuds and charging cases, so “AirPods 4” alone is not enough to confirm compatibility.
- Standard: A3053 left, A3050 right and A3058 case.
- Active Noise Cancellation: A3056 left, A3055 right and A3059 case.
AirPods Pro 2: Lightning or USB-C?
AirPods Pro 2nd Generation is available in two versions. Match the complete version rather than selecting only “AirPods Pro 2.”
- Lightning: A2699 left, A2698 right and A2700 case.
- USB-C: A3048 left, A3047 right and A2968 case.
Before ordering a replacement
- Find the model number beginning with A.
- Confirm whether you need the left earbud, right earbud or charging case.
- Match the exact AirPods generation and version.
- For AirPods 4, confirm standard or Active Noise Cancellation.
- For AirPods Pro 2, confirm Lightning or USB-C.
- Check the model number again before adding the replacement to your basket.
